Sundaram Mutual Fund Appoints Anand Radhakrishnan as CEO, Nurturing Leadership for Future Growth

Sundaram Mutual Fund, a key player in India’s financial landscape, has made a strategic move by appointing Anand Radhakrishnan as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Anand, who previously spent eight years with the company from 1996 to 2004, brings a wealth of experience to the role. His most recent position was as the Managing Director & CIO (Equity) at Franklin Templeton India.

Scheduled to take over from the retiring Managing Director Sunil Subramaniam in July 2024, Anand’s appointment is set to usher in a new era of leadership at Sundaram Mutual Fund. Sunil Subramaniam has served the company for an impressive 19 years and is set to retire in June 2024.

Harsha Viji, Executive Vice Chairman of Sundaram Finance, expressed confidence in Anand’s leadership skills and alignment with the company’s culture, citing his extensive industry experience as a valuable asset.

Sunil Subramaniam, the outgoing Managing Director, welcomed Anand to the Sundaram family, expressing optimism about his ability to strengthen the company’s commitment to customer satisfaction and lead Sundaram Mutual to greater heights in the years ahead.

As of January 31, 2024, Sundaram Asset Management Company manages assets totaling over ₹71,000 crore, making it a significant player in the mutual fund industry. The company boasts a network of 81 branches across the country and offers a diverse range of investment options, including sixteen equity funds, five hybrid funds, and nine fixed-income funds.
