Sugar.fit Bolsters Diabetes Management Mission with $5M Series A Extension Led by B Capital

Sugar.fit, a leading healthtech startup focused on diabetes management, has announced the successful closure of an additional $5 million in Series A funding, spearheaded by B Capital. With this latest infusion of capital, the total funding secured in the Series A round amounts to $16 million.

In addition to B Capital, existing investors including MassMutual Ventures, Tanglin Venture Partners, Endiya Partners, and Cure.Fit also participated in this round, underscoring their continued confidence in Sugar.fit’s mission and growth potential.

The fresh investment will be utilized to bolster Sugar.fit’s technological infrastructure, expand its product offerings, strengthen brand presence, and accelerate research and development initiatives in diabetes management.

Commenting on the significance of the funding round, Karan Mohla, General Partner at B Capital, emphasized the pressing need for innovative solutions to address India’s escalating burden of chronic diseases, particularly diabetes. He lauded Sugar.fit’s holistic approach to healthcare delivery, spanning diverse channels and demonstrating robust growth metrics. Mohla expressed confidence in Sugar.fit’s trajectory and its vision to emerge as India’s foremost integrated chronic healthcare platform.

Founded in 2021 by Madan Somasundaram and Shivtosh Kumar, Sugar.fit has rapidly emerged as a frontrunner in the field of diabetes management. With a presence across Bangalore and seven state-of-the-art diabetes clinics, the startup combines cutting-edge technology with personalized human intervention to empower patients in monitoring and managing their glucose levels effectively.

This latest funding milestone follows Sugar.fit’s successful Series A round last October, wherein the company raised $11 million led by MassMutual Ventures, with participation from existing investors. The consecutive rounds of investment underscore the growing recognition of Sugar.fit’s innovative approach and its potential to make a meaningful impact in combating India’s burgeoning diabetes epidemic.
