South Indian Bank has announced the opening of a new branch in Chinchwad, Pune, at Empire Square. This expansion is part of the bank’s strategy to enhance its presence in the region and cater to the growing demand for banking services in the area.
The newly inaugurated branch will not only offer traditional banking services but also include an ATM to provide convenient access to customers in Chinchwad and the surrounding suburbs. Chinchwad is known for its diverse blend of residential, retail, commercial, and industrial complexes, making it an ideal location for South Indian Bank to establish a dedicated branch.
With the addition of this branch, South Indian Bank has increased its branch count to 45 and ATMs to 44 in the Mumbai region, further strengthening its footprint in the area.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Bishop John Rodrigues, Bishop of Pune, who inaugurated the branch, and Mr. Sanchay Kumar Sinha, CGM & Country Head- Retail Banking Department of South Indian Bank, who inaugurated the strong room. Additionally, Mr. Pugalzanthi Chelliah, Assistant Commissioner of GST, inaugurated the ATM.

The new Pune branch commenced operations on September 8, 2023, during regular banking hours and is located at Showroom No: 4, Empire Square, Chinchwad, Pune – 411019. This strategic expansion aligns with South Indian Bank’s mission to offer a wide range of banking products and services to cater to the needs of its customers.
