Solis Tractors Unveils Two Powerful Models for Global Agriculture Markets

Solis Tractors, a subsidiary of International Tractors Ltd (ITL), has introduced two new tractors, the Solis S 75 Shuttle XL and Solis C 48, targeting global markets. The unveiling took place at the Lamma Show, the UK’s prominent exhibition for agricultural machinery, equipment, and services.

The Solis S 75 Shuttle XL features an S-Tech 4-cylinder engine coupled with a 12F+12R transmission. Equipped with S-Boost hydraulics and a robust 3,000kg lifting capacity, this tractor is designed for efficient and powerful performance. On the other hand, the Solis C 48 employs a 3-cylinder, naturally-aspirated engine producing a maximum torque of 146.2Nm. It comes with a 12F+12R transmission and integrates S-Boost hydraulics for enhanced functionality.

Solis has announced that both models, the S 75 Shuttle XL and C 48, will be available in global markets, including the USA and Europe. However, the company has not disclosed the pricing details for these new additions to its tractor lineup.

Founded in 1996, ITL stands as the third-largest tractor manufacturer in India and the fifth-largest globally in terms of volume. Known for its top export status, ITL dispatched nearly 35,000 units in FY23, holding a 28% export market share in FY23 and 36% in H1 FY24. Apart from the Solis brand, ITL also markets tractors under the Sonalika brand.

ITL operates a manufacturing facility in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, boasting an annual production capacity of 300,000 units. In its commitment to expansion, the company is setting up a new plant adjacent to the existing one, with an annual production capacity of 100,000 units, expected to be operational by FY26.

With a tractor range spanning 16hp to 125hp, ITL exports its models to over 150 countries, making it the biggest tractor brand in 14 countries. This includes Germany, France, Portugal, Finland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Iceland, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar, and Algeria, in the segments it serves.
