Samsung Launches ‘Bespoke AI’ Home Appliances for Smarter Living

Samsung’s Innovative Line of AI-Powered Devices Set to Revolutionize Home Appliance Market

Samsung, a leading consumer electronics brand, has announced the global launch of its ‘Bespoke AI’ range of home appliances. This innovative lineup, which includes refrigerators, air conditioners, microwaves, and washing machines, is poised to transform the way households operate, with an emphasis on personalized experiences and energy efficiency.

Saurabh Baishakhia, Senior Director for Digital Appliances at Samsung India, anticipates that these Bespoke AI devices will constitute a substantial portion—70%—of the total sales of home appliances by the fiscal year 2025. This ambitious target underscores Samsung’s commitment to integrating advanced AI technology into everyday household products.

Departing from traditional product-specific AI, Samsung’s new approach focuses on platform-specific AI, enabling seamless connectivity and intelligent functionality across multiple devices. Powered by inbuilt Wi-Fi, internal cameras, and AI chips operating on the Tizen platform, these appliances offer a host of innovative features tailored to modern living.

A key highlight of the Bespoke AI range is its energy-saving capabilities. Equipped with sophisticated AI algorithms, these devices analyze individual usage patterns to optimize energy consumption. Users can set energy targets, receive estimates of monthly electricity costs, and receive personalized tips for achieving greater efficiency.

JB Park, President & CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia, emphasized the company’s commitment to sustainability, stating, “We are introducing Bespoke AI, our next big innovation in home appliances which will ensure smarter living for Indian homes and reduce energy consumption, contributing to a greener planet.”

Samsung’s Bespoke AI appliances boast significant energy savings, with AI Energy Mode offering up to 10% savings in refrigerators, 20% in air conditioners, and a remarkable 70% in washing machines. Additionally, these appliances are designed to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, aligning with Samsung’s environmental objectives.

In addition to energy efficiency, these devices offer seamless integration with Bixby for voice assistance and feature Smart Forward technology for proactive maintenance alerts. Continuously learning user preferences, the AI technology in these appliances is tailored to the specific needs of the Indian market.

As Samsung continues to innovate in the home appliance sector, the launch of Bespoke AI represents a significant step towards smarter, more sustainable living. With its blend of cutting-edge technology and user-centric design, Samsung aims to redefine the modern home experience.
