Reliance Retail Introduces New Fashion Store: Yousta | Everything Under Rs 999!

Reliance Industries Ltd’s retail arm unveiled a youth-centric fashion retail concept called ‘Yousta’, inaugurating its first store in Hyderabad.

Debut of Reliance Retail’s ‘Yousta’ Fashion Stores

Notably, all products in the Yousta store are priced at Rs 999 or less, with the majority falling below Rs 499, as indicated by Reliance Retail.

In January, reports emerged about Reliance Retail’s plan to launch an affordable apparel format aimed at competing with Tata’s Zudio, the Landmark Group’s Max, and Shoppers Stop’s budget-friendly brand InTune.

Akhilesh Prasad, the President and CEO of Fashion and Lifestyle at Reliance Retail, mentioned, “Yousta is a vibrant brand that resonates with a lifestyle that will evolve alongside the youth of this country. The team will continuously collaborate with India’s younger generation to understand their evolving fashion preferences.”

The first Yousta store opened on August 24 at Hyderabad’s Sarath City Mall.

Youth-Focused Offerings

The store’s offerings include unisex merchandise, character merchandise, and a weekly refreshed capsule collection.

Moreover, the store will introduce a ‘Starring Now’ collection every week, featuring the latest fashion as complete outfits with matching accessories, according to the company’s statement.

The stores will also feature various tech touchpoints, including QR-enabled screens for information sharing, self-checkout counters, complimentary Wi-Fi, and charging stations.

Importantly, the array of products available at Yousta stores will also be accessible online through the Ajio and JioMart platforms, the company highlighted.

While India’s consumption pattern has historically been skewed towards a limited base of affluent consumers making up a significant portion of the market, the economic expansion to numerous cities and income levels is creating opportunities for value-formats and affordable brands.

As part of community support efforts, Yousta has partnered with a nonprofit organization, enabling customers to donate old clothes in-store for community programs.
