Rage Coffee Hits INR 100 Cr Milestone in Cumulative Sales, Sets Sights on INR 500 Cr by 2025

In a significant achievement, D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) coffee startup Rage Coffee, founded in 2019, announced that it has surpassed the INR 100 Crore mark in cumulative brand sales since its inception, as of December 2023. Bharat Sethi, the founder and CEO of Rage Coffee, shared this milestone on LinkedIn, expressing his delight and attributing the success to a combination of relentless effort, execution capabilities, investor support, and, most importantly, the trust of customers and the dedicated team.

Sethi noted, “We achieved this figure before the beginning of our 5th year, and let me tell you, a lot of it is mad hustle, execution capabilities, support of our investors and partners who’ve backed us with tremendous belief in us and most important our customers and team.”

Despite facing numerous challenges, the startup managed to reach this remarkable milestone with a product lineup of just 5-7 SKUs (Stock Keeping Units). Over 3.2 million customers have experienced Rage Coffee’s products, ranging from sachets to jars, through various channels, both online and offline, over the last four years. Notably, 80% of these customers were acquired in the last 24 months, showcasing the brand’s accelerating growth.

Founded in 2019, Rage Coffee stands out as one of the world’s first plant-based vitamin coffee brands. The startup prides itself on using carefully selected beans from Ethiopian and Indian plantations. Beyond instant coffee, Rage Coffee has diversified its product offerings to include cold coffee brew bags, frothers, and other merchandise. In 2022, it entered the snack bars and cookies market, providing gluten-free snacks without preservatives. The brand also established a 30,000 square feet manufacturing unit in Gurugram to support its expanding product range.

In the financial year 2022, Rage Coffee demonstrated impressive growth, achieving more than 5X revenue growth, with revenues surging from INR 4.5 Crore in FY21 to INR 23.5 Crore in FY22. Looking ahead, the startup has set an ambitious revenue target of INR 500 Crore for the year 2025.

Rage Coffee’s success has garnered support from prominent investors, including Sixth Sense Ventures, Refex Capital, and 9Unicorns, underscoring the confidence in the startup’s potential in the competitive coffee market.
