Phoenix Tower International (PTI) has significantly expanded its presence in France, solidifying its position as a leading wireless infrastructure provider. The telecom infrastructure company recently closed two strategic transactions, acquiring a total of 1,978 sites in densely populated urban areas across France.
These acquisitions include 1,226 sites that host SFR through a 100 percent PTI-owned subsidiary and an additional 752 sites hosting Bouygues Telecom, expanding Phoenix France Infrastructures 2.
PTI’s expansion in France reflects its commitment to meeting the surging demand for connectivity in metropolitan regions across the country.
Key Milestone Reached
With these acquisitions and previous expansions, PTI now owns and operates over 3,600 sites in France. The company is on track to increase this number to more than 5,000 sites within the next two years. This achievement establishes France as PTI’s largest market among its 21 global markets in terms of site count.

These acquisitions play a crucial role in diversifying PTI’s portfolio across France while contributing to improved wireless connectivity nationwide. As a result of these transactions, PTI and its subsidiaries will oversee more than 22,000 telecom towers worldwide, serving regions in Europe, the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
