LEAD Group Strengthens Top Brass: Key Hires Aim to Propel Edtech Unicorn’s Growth

Edtech unicorn LEAD Group has announced two crucial appointments to its leadership team, welcoming Arvind Singhal as Chief Growth Officer and Arpit Jain as Chief Financial Officer. This move is part of the company’s strategic initiative to provide high-quality, integrated digital learning solutions to over 60,000 schools across India by 2028.

In his role as Chief Growth Officer, Arvind Singhal will guide the development and implementation of LEAD’s growth strategy, aiming to extend its reach to more schools and students across India. Singhal brings a wealth of experience from various industries, including D2C, edtech, FMCG, and telecom, having served notable companies such as Vedantu, BlackBuck, BlueStone, Ola, and Asian Paints.

Arpit Jain, taking on the role of Chief Financial Officer, will lead the finance and legal functions of the group. With prior experience at Marico and ITC, where he led digital business and mergers and acquisitions, Jain brings valuable expertise to support LEAD Group’s financial and operational success.

LEAD Group’s Co-founder and CEO, Sumeet Mehta, expressed confidence in the new appointments, stating, “Together, Arvind and Arpit bring decades of valuable experience and a proven track record in financial and operational success; scaling businesses; serving customers; and building high-performance teams.”

In their respective roles, Singhal and Jain will strategically drive the adoption of digital learning solutions across India, aligning with the company’s vision of providing affordable and excellent learning for every child.

Arvind Singhal emphasized the importance of quality education in India’s journey to becoming a developed country by 2047, stating, “I look forward to driving the charter to propel LEAD and school edtech in India to new heights.”

LEAD Group, founded in 2012 by Sumeet Mehta and Smita Deorah, aims to transform school education in India. The company claims to have improved student learning outcomes and teacher performance in over 9000 schools across India through its integrated teaching and learning system.
