Honda India Foundation (HIF), in collaboration with the Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission and Visan Foundation, has unveiled “Project Buniyaad – Aathmanirbharta Ka Aadhar.” This initiative is geared towards providing employment opportunities to unemployed youth from marginalized sections of society, with a specific focus on the North-eastern states. The project envisions establishing a strong foundation for collaboration, with Honda India Foundation as the funding partner, the State Government as the Infrastructure and Mobilization Support partner, Visan Foundation as the Training partner, and leading hotels and hospitals as the Placement partners.
The inauguration ceremony, graced by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Manipur, N Biren Singh, witnessed the unveiling of this project that aims to ensure 100% job placement for youth in the hospitality sector.
Vinay Dhingra, Trustee, Honda India Foundation, emphasized the commitment to community support and creating a sustainable society. He stated, “Education & Skill Development go together with our dedication to inclusivity and ideally aligns with our long-term mission of becoming a ‘Company that Society wants to Exist.’ With Project Buniyaad, we envision a brighter future for the youth of Manipur, where learning knows no bounds and opportunities are limitless.”

- Honda’s Commitment: The project aligns with Honda’s corporate philosophy, emphasizing “Respect for the Individual” and the “Three Joys.” It reflects Honda’s commitment to improving the quality of people’s daily lives.
This groundbreaking initiative is set to train over 550 youth in the North-eastern states, providing them with opportunities for dignified careers in Hospitality Management. By investing in skill development, Project Buniyaad aims to contribute not only to individual development but also to societal progress.
