Emcure Pharmaceuticals Expands Operations with State-of-the-Art Facility in Mehsana, Gujarat

Mehsana : Emcure Pharmaceuticals, a prominent player in the Indian pharmaceutical industry, celebrated the inauguration of its newly commissioned facility in Mehsana, Gujarat. The ceremony, presided over by Shri. Rushikeshbhai Patel, Honourable Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Gujarat, marked a significant expansion of Emcure’s manufacturing capabilities, especially in the production of injectables for both domestic and international markets.

Emcure Pharmaceuticals, with a rich history in manufacturing operations spanning 13 sites across India, has added a cutting-edge unit to its portfolio in Mehsana. The new facility, operational since August 2023, is poised to cater to the demand for injectables in India and contribute to global pharmaceutical supplies.

The company’s manufacturing prowess extends across various platforms and packaging formats, covering a wide spectrum of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical products. Emcure’s facilities specialize in producing oral solids, oral liquids, injectables (including liposomal and lyophilized injectables), biotherapeutics, and complex APIs. Regulatory approvals from EDQM, Health Canada, USFDA, ANVISA Brazil, among others, validate Emcure’s commitment to meeting global pharmaceutical standards.

Honourable Minister Rushikeshbhai Patel commended Emcure’s dedication to providing accessible and affordable healthcare. He emphasized the importance of the new manufacturing plant in Mehsana, stating, “This facility, equipped with the latest technology and adherence to quality control measures, underscores their dedication to ensuring that each product meets and exceeds global pharmaceutical benchmarks.”

Emcure’s latest addition in Mehsana is expected to generate additional employment opportunities in the local market, contributing to the region’s economic growth.
