Cricket Broadcasting Bonanza: BCCI Invites Tenders for 2023-2027 Media Rights

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has taken a significant step in its pursuit of enhancing broadcasting arrangements by inviting tenders for the media rights of both international and domestic matches. This latest tender covers the period from 2023 to 2027, as confirmed in a press statement issued by Secretary Jayesh Shah.

The cricket board’s press release clarified that all relevant information regarding the tender process, including eligibility criteria, bid submission procedures, rights and obligations, and more, will be outlined in the ‘Invitation to Tender’ (ITT). To access the ITT, interested parties will need to make a payment of Rs 15,00,000 (Indian Rupees Fifteen Lakh Only), along with any applicable Goods and Services Tax. It’s essential to note that this payment is nonrefundable.

The ‘Invitation to Tender’ documents will be available for purchase until August 25, 2023. Prospective bidders, media entities, and stakeholders are encouraged to obtain the ITT documents within the stipulated timeframe to participate in the competitive bidding process.
