Clean Motion’s Indian Venture Secures $1M Funding for Manufacturing Expansion

Clean Motion, the Swedish electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, has made significant strides in its Indian operations, with its Indian arm recently raising $1 million in seed funding from Finvolve, a micro-venture capital firm backed by India Accelerator. The infusion of capital marks a crucial step for Clean Motion’s India venture, paving the way for ambitious expansion plans in the burgeoning Indian EV market.

Strategic Funding and Expansion Plans

Clean Mobility Solution India, the Indian subsidiary of Clean Motion AB, intends to utilize the funds to bolster its operational capabilities, augment its workforce, and establish a dedicated manufacturing facility in Pune. The manufacturing plant will be instrumental in producing Clean Motion’s flagship three-wheeler passenger EV, Zbee, catering to the rising demand for eco-friendly urban mobility solutions in India.

Additionally, a significant portion of the funding will be allocated towards developing an EV charging infrastructure, further advancing Clean Motion’s commitment to sustainable transportation solutions in the country. Deb Mukherji, representing Clean Mobility Solution India, expressed gratitude for the investors’ confidence in the company’s capabilities and outlined a strategic roadmap focused on fortifying India’s position as a leader in the global EV market.

Ashish Bhatia, CEO of Finvolve, underscored the strategic significance of the investment in Clean Motion’s Indian venture, emphasizing India’s conducive manufacturing ecosystem and its potential to catalyze growth in the EV sector. Clean Motion’s Flagship Product and Market Entry

Clean Motion AB, renowned for its electric three-wheeler Zbee, is poised to capitalize on India’s burgeoning EV market with its foray into the country. The Zbee, known for its impressive range of 50 km on a single charge, holds immense promise in addressing the growing demand for efficient first and last-mile transportation services in urban centers.
