Air India Rebranding: A Fresh Look for the Iconic Airline

In a significant move that has captured the attention of aviation enthusiasts and travelers alike, Tata-Owned Air India is on the brink of a captivating transformation, poised to unveil a renewed visual identity that encompasses a new logo and vibrant brand colors. While the esteemed name ‘Air India’ will remain unaltered, preserving the legacy of the brand, a remarkable change is on the horizon.

The current Air India logo, which has prominently featured the orange Konark Chakra alongside a red swan since 2014, is set to undergo a metamorphosis. The airline, in a press release on Monday, announced an upcoming event scheduled for August 10. This event promises to usher in a new era of transformation that goes beyond the surface, marking a profound shift in the airline’s approach.

Central to this rebranding endeavor is the unveiling of a fresh livery, emblematic of Air India’s reinvigorated vision. The forthcoming livery is set to harmoniously blend red, white, and purple hues. While red and white pay homage to Air India’s historical colors, the inclusion of purple draws inspiration from the distinctive livery of Vistara.

Chandrasekaran, the chairman of Tata Sons, had previously hinted at the sweeping changes that awaited Air India. His statements had illuminated the extensive renovations that are already in progress, spanning the revitalization of human resources, advancements in engineering and ground handling, and a comprehensive overhaul of the fleet.
