Unveiling the Honda Elevate: Competitive Pricing and Impressive Features

Honda Cars India is all set to make a splash in the highly competitive mid-size SUV segment with the upcoming Honda Elevate. Unveiled earlier in June, the Elevate is generating a lot of excitement among automotive enthusiasts and potential buyers. As Honda aims to bolster its presence in the Indian market, the Elevate is expected to be a significant addition to their lineup. Recent reports suggest that Honda has shared some key details about the launch timeline and tentative pricing of the SUV with its dealers. According to these reports, the base variant of the Honda Elevate could be priced at around Rs 11 lakh. This competitive pricing is likely to make the Elevate a compelling choice for SUV buyers in India.

The Honda Elevate is set to take on formidable rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos facelift, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, and the upcoming Citroen C3 Aircross SUV in the mid-size SUV segment.

As per Team-Bhp, Honda is planning to launch the Elevate officially during the festive season in September this year. The SUV is expected to be available in four variants, with the base variant starting at around Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom). The pricing of the top-end variant is likely to align with that of the top-end NA petrol IVT variant of the Hyundai Creta, its primary competitor. However, it’s essential to note that the mentioned prices are not final, and there might be slight variations at the time of the official launch.

The Honda Elevate sports a bold and distinctive front grille with a black finish, accompanied by sleek all-LED headlamps and daytime running LEDs. The stylish front bumper features triangular black housings for the LED fog lamps, along with body cladding and a silver faux skid plate, adding to its overall appeal. Inspired by Honda’s global SUVs like the Pilot and HR-V, the Elevate maintains an upright and boxy design language in the front fascia. The side profile showcases body cladding on the wheel arches and lower door panels, giving it a rugged appearance. Additionally, the SUV is equipped with 17-inch machined alloy wheels, door-mounted rearview mirrors, and silver roof rails, further enhancing its visual appeal.

Stepping inside, the Honda Elevate boasts dual-tone black and brown leather upholstery and a host of notable features. These include a 7-inch TFT screen integrated into the instrument console, a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, a push start-stop button, a lane watch camera, six airbags, and Level-2 ADAS known as ‘Honda Sensing.’

Under the hood, the Honda Elevate will be powered by a 1.5-liter four-cylinder naturally-aspirated engine, which it shares with the Honda City. This engine delivers a maximum power output of 121 bhp and a peak torque output of 145 Nm. Buyers will have the option to choose between a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT.

While some of its competitors offer strong hybrid versions, Honda has not opted for a hybrid version of the Elevate.

For those eagerly awaiting the Honda Elevate, bookings will officially open on July 3. Interested buyers can book their vehicles by visiting Honda dealerships across the country, with the booking amount set at Rs 21,000.

With its attractive pricing and a range of features, the Honda Elevate is poised to make a strong impression in the mid-size SUV segment. As the launch date approaches, all eyes will be on Honda to see how the Elevate performs and if it can carve a niche for itself in this fiercely competitive market.
