Kia India is preparing to introduce the Seltos facelift in July 2023, and the unofficial bookings for the SUV have already commenced. Customers can reserve their Seltos facelift by paying a refundable token amount of Rs. 25,000 at Kia dealerships across the country. The launch of the Seltos facelift is expected to take place in August.
Numerous spy pictures of the Seltos facelift’s test mule have been circulating, providing a glimpse of its exterior features. The global version of the SUV showcases a revised front and rear bumper, new alloy wheels, and a panoramic sunroof. Additionally, it boasts a new grille with integrated LED daytime running lights, updated LED headlamps, and larger air dams. At the rear, the SUV is equipped with a redesigned connected LED tail lamp design.
Moving to the interior, the Kia Seltos facelift is set to offer an array of features. It will come with a twin-display setup, consisting of a large touchscreen infotainment unit and a digital driver’s display. Other notable features include dual-zone climate control, cruise control, wireless charger, ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, powered tailgate, electronic parking brake, 360-degree camera, and an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite.
In terms of powertrains, the Seltos facelift is expected to retain the same powertrain options as the current BS6 Phase 2-compliant version. However, there might be a replacement of the existing 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine with a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine.
The launch timeline for the Seltos facelift indicates its unveiling in July and subsequent launch in August 2023. Once available, the Seltos facelift will continue to compete against rivals such as the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, MG Astor, Volkswagen Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq. Furthermore, it will face competition from upcoming entrants in the segment like the Honda Elevate and the Citroen C3 Aircross.
