The Japanese automaker is in the advanced planning stages for its new midsize SUV, codenamed ‘340D,’ which is expected to make its highly anticipated debut in the Indian market by 2026. The proposed third plant is set to have an annual production capacity of 60,000 units, effectively increasing the overall capacity of Toyota’s manufacturing facilities from the current 80,000 to an impressive 1,20,000 vehicles per year.
