Tata Tiago Waiting Period Sees Significant Drop in February 2024

The Tata Tiago, a popular choice in the compact car segment, has witnessed a notable reduction in its waiting period in February 2024. Known for its compact size and availability of CNG powertrain options, the Tiago has become a sought-after model in the Indian market.

Waiting Period Update:

  • Reduction Across Variants: Waiting period reduces for both petrol and CNG variants
  • CNG Attraction: CNG variants now command a maximum waiting period, surpassing petrol counterparts

Currently, customers opting for the petrol variants of the Tiago face a waiting timeline of two to four weeks. However, those eyeing the CNG variants, with an increasing demand for their fuel efficiency, will need to exercise patience with a waiting period of up to six weeks from the date of booking. It’s important to note that waiting periods may vary based on factors such as dealership location, chosen variant, color preference, gearbox type, and other considerations.

New Offering: CNG AMT Variant:

In a move to cater to diverse customer preferences, Tata Motors has introduced the CNG variant of the Tiago with an Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) gearbox. This variant is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine coupled with a five-speed AMT unit, complemented by a company-fitted CNG kit. The powertrain delivers 72bhp and 95Nm of torque, offering a claimed fuel efficiency of 28.06km/kg.

The reduction in waiting periods and the introduction of the CNG AMT variant aim to enhance customer accessibility and provide a wider array of choices to potential Tiago buyers.
