Tata Tiago NRG Gets a Mild Price Adjustment: Still an Affordable 5-Star Contender

In a recent move, Tata Motors has implemented a marginal price hike for its Tiago NRG model, making it an even more affordable and compelling choice in the hatchback segment. Despite the increase, the Tiago NRG continues to offer a 5-star package, presenting a noteworthy alternative to the Swift.

Price Adjustments Overview:

The new ex-showroom prices for the Tiago NRG range from Rs 6.7 lakh to Rs 8.25 lakh for the top model, representing a 2.1% increase. It’s important to highlight that Tata has maintained the availability of all Tiago NRG variants, and no model has been discontinued.

Old and New Prices Breakdown:

  • XT Manual: Old Price Rs. 6,69,900 / New Price Rs. 6,69,900 (No change)
  • XZ Manual: Old Price Rs. 7,14,900 / Difference Rs. 15,000 / New Price Rs. 7,29,900 (2.10% difference)
  • XT Automatic: Old Price Rs. 7,69,900 / Difference Rs. 15,000 / New Price Rs. 7,84,900 (1.95% difference)

CNG Variant Adjustments:

For the Tiago NRG 1.2 liter normal CNG variants, the prices have also seen a Rs 15,000 increase:

  • XT Manual: Old Price Rs. 7,64,900 / New Price Rs. 7,64,900 (No change)
  • XZ Manual: Old Price Rs. 8,09,900 / Difference Rs. 15,000 / New Price Rs. 8,24,900 (1.85% difference)

Analysis:

While the XZ manual variant witnessed the highest increase at 2.1%, the overall adjustments for both petrol and CNG variants maintain the Tiago NRG’s affordability. The model, known for its 5-star safety features, robust performance, and stylish design, continues to stand out as an attractive alternative in the competitive hatchback market.
