Tata Punch CNG Set to Revolutionize Indian Roads: Dealerships Preparing for Launch

Tata Motors is gearing up to introduce the CNG variant of its popular model, the Tata Punch. The Punch iCNG was showcased at the Auto Expo 2023 alongside the CNG iteration of the Altroz. While the Altroz CNG has already been launched earlier this year, the price announcement and official launch of the Punch CNG are eagerly anticipated and expected to take place in the coming days. Unofficial pre-bookings for the Punch CNG have already commenced at select Tata dealerships.

The Tata Punch CNG has now started arriving at local dealerships across the country, indicating that its launch is imminent. The design of the Punch CNG remains identical to its petrol counterpart, with only CNG stickers at the front and rear being the noticeable difference. The model comes equipped with twin CNG cylinders housed in the boot, while the spare tire is conveniently mounted underneath the car.

Under the hood, the Tata Punch iCNG will be powered by a 1.2-litre, Revotron petrol engine producing 84bhp and 113Nm of torque. When running on CNG mode, the power output will slightly reduce to 76bhp and 95Nm of torque. The vehicle will come with a five-speed manual transmission as the sole offering. With these specifications, the Tata Punch iCNG will go head-to-head with competitors like the Hyundai Exter CNG in the market.

The introduction of the CNG variant is expected to make the Tata Punch even more attractive to environmentally conscious customers who seek fuel-efficient and eco-friendly options. As CNG infrastructure continues to expand across the country, the demand for CNG-powered vehicles is on the rise, and Tata Motors’ move to offer the Punch in a CNG option aligns with the evolving preferences of Indian consumers.

The Tata Punch has been a successful addition to Tata’s lineup, gaining popularity for its bold design, feature-packed interior, and competitive pricing. With the introduction of the CNG variant, Tata Motors aims to further strengthen its position in the highly competitive mid-size SUV segment and cater to a broader customer base.

Enthusiasts and prospective buyers eagerly await the official price announcement and launch date for the Tata Punch iCNG, and with the model now reaching dealerships, it won’t be long before Indian roads witness yet another promising and eco-friendly offering from Tata Motors.
