Tata Power Expands EV Charging Network Along Chandigarh-Shimla Highway

In a significant move towards bolstering electric mobility infrastructure, Tata Power has installed two electric vehicle (EV) charging stations along the Chandigarh-Shimla highway. This strategic expansion covers a substantial 111 kilometers of the highway, enhancing convenience for electric vehicle users traveling between these two cities.

Strategic Locations for Seamless Travel

The two EV charging stations are strategically positioned to ensure seamless charging accessibility for EV owners. The first station is located at Hotel Falcon Crest around Kandaghat, approximately 83 kilometers from Chandigarh. The second charging point is closer to Shimla, situated at The Oberoi Cecil on Chaura Maidan Road, just 26 kilometers from the capital city. This deployment aims to cater to the growing demand for EV charging infrastructure on this popular tourist-focused highway.

User-Friendly Access with Tata Power EZ Charge

Consumers can easily locate and access these charging stations using the Tata Power EZ Charge mobile app. The app provides real-time information on the availability of charging points, enabling users to plan their journeys efficiently. Additionally, users have the convenience of making online payments for charging sessions through the app or utilizing Tata Power’s proprietary RFID cards.
