Tata Motors Unveils Tata Punch EV: A New Milestone in Safe and Affordable Electric Mobility

Tata Motors, India’s leading automobile manufacturer, has just rolled out its fourth electric vehicle, the Tata Punch EV, marking another significant stride towards sustainable and affordable electric mobility. The Tata Punch EV, an electric SUV with an impressive range of 421 kilometers on a single charge, offers a blend of safety, style, and versatility.

Look and Design:

While sharing a familiar design with its Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) counterpart, the Tata Punch EV stands out with its distinctive end-to-end LED lights in the front. The SUV is available in various variants, each adorned with signature colors and featuring a stylish 16-inch alloy wheel, enhancing its overall side profile.

Variants and Price:

The Tata Punch EV caters to diverse preferences with two battery pack options. The 25kWh battery provides a commendable range of up to 315 kilometers, while the long-range version, equipped with a 35kWh battery pack, extends the range to an impressive 421 kilometers. The long-range version generates 90kW power and 190Nm torque, while the standard version with a smaller motor delivers 60kW power and 114Nm torque.

Special Features:

The Tata Punch EV lineup comprises four distinct variants, each offering a unique set of features to cater to different customer needs:

  1. Smart Variant: LED headlamps, smart digital Daytime Running Lights (DRL), multi-mode Regen Electronic Stability Program (ESP), and six airbags.
  2. Adventure Variant: Front fog lamps with cornering, Harman’s 17.78 cm infotainment system, EPB with autohold (long range only), jeweled control knob (long range only), and a sunroof.
  3. Empowered Variant: 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, air purifier with AQI display, auto-fold Outside Rear View Mirrors (ORVM), 17.78 cm digital display, SOS function, 26.03 cm infotainment system, and a dual-tone body.
  4. Empowered+ Variant: Leather seats, 360-degree camera, blind spot monitor, ventilated front seats, Arcade.ev app suite, wireless phone charger, and a 26.03 cm digital cockpit.

Pricing and Availability:

The Tata Punch EV is competitively priced, starting at Rs 10.99 lakh and reaching Rs 14.99 lakh for the top variant. Bookings are now open, and prospective buyers can reserve their Tata Punch EV through the official website or authorized dealerships by paying a token amount of Rs 21,000. Test drives have commenced, and deliveries are slated to begin from January 22, 2024.
