Tata Harrier and Safari SUV Facelifts Teased: Bookings Open October 6th

Tata Motors, the renowned Indian automaker, is all set to unveil the heavily-updated versions of its flagship SUVs, the Harrier and Safari. Following the successful launch of the extensively revamped Nexon compact SUV, Tata Motors has tantalized SUV enthusiasts with teasers of the facelifted Harrier and Safari on its social media platforms. The company has also announced that bookings for both these highly anticipated SUVs will kick off on October 6th, building excitement for a potential launch just in time for the festive season.

A Glimpse of the Revamped Tata Harrier

Tata Motors has provided a sneak peek at the refreshed Tata Harrier through a brief teaser, unveiling the silhouette of the SUV’s front profile. The teaser highlights an exciting feature—the new Harrier will boast a connected LED bar gracefully bridging the daytime running LEDs situated on the corners. This design marvel collaborates to create a distinctive welcome display. Additionally, the teaser hints at a revamped vertical housing for the LED projector headlamps.

The Updated Harrier: What to Expect

Over recent months, spy shots of the updated Tata Harrier have surfaced during testing, revealing sleeker LED tail lamps linked by a connecting LED bar. Although the side profile is expected to remain largely unchanged, the new Harrier is poised to showcase fresh design elements for its 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, a substantial revamp awaits, including the anticipated introduction of a new-generation full-TFT instrument console and the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system seen in the recently launched Nexon facelift.

The Revamped Safari: A Closer Look

Tata Motors has also released a clearer teaser of the facelifted Tata Safari, providing an enhanced view of its front profile. In contrast to the outgoing version, the revamped Tata Safari flaunts a larger front grille, an all-new LED connecting light bar uniting the daytime running LEDs, and updated vertical housings for the headlamps, featuring LED projectors.

Divergent Appearances

Unlike the current iterations of the two SUVs, which share a strikingly similar front design, the upcoming Safari is expected to distinguish itself from the Harrier with a distinct appearance. Expect a refreshed rear profile with sleek connecting LED light bars in the revamped Tata Safari. While the updated cabin layout and new-generation screens are anticipated to be shared with the Harrier, the Safari will offer various upholstery options and accommodate both six and seven-seater configurations, offering more versatility than the five-seater Harrier.

Engine Power

Under the hood, the extensively updated Harrier and Safari models will continue to feature the existing 2.0-liter diesel engine. This engine received an update earlier this year to comply with BS-6 stage-II emission standards. Additionally, rumors are swirling about Tata Motors introducing a new 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo.
