Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) continues to make waves in the Indian motorcycle market, with their popular brand ‘Shine’ achieving a significant milestone. In the fiercely competitive 125cc motorcycle segment, Honda’s ‘Shine’ has crossed the impressive mark of 30 Lac (3 million) customers in Western India. This remarkable achievement underscores HMSI’s unwavering commitment to excellence and firmly establishes the brand as a dominant player in the 125cc motorcycle category.

Riding the Fast Lane in Western India

HMSI’s journey to this milestone has been nothing short of impressive. The first 15 Lac customers were welcomed over an 11-year period, but the pace of growth has accelerated significantly. The recent 15 Lac customers were acquired in just 6.5 years, highlighting Honda’s rapid expansion in the 125cc motorcycle market. This achievement is a testament to the trust and loyalty of over 30 Lac motorcycle enthusiasts in the Western states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Goa.

Maharashtra: Leading the Charge

Among the Western states, Maharashtra has played a pivotal role in this extraordinary feat. It stands as the highest contributing state, accounting for over 20 Lac sales in the region. The people of Maharashtra have demonstrated a strong affinity for Honda’s ‘Shine’ motorcycles, making it a symbol of trust and quality.

Honda’s ‘Shine 125’ and ‘SP125’ motorcycles have been at the forefront of this achievement. These models have charmed customers with advanced features, stylish design, and superior technology in the 125cc segment. Together, Shine 125 and SP125 are the top two selling motorcycles in the Western region. With a commanding market share of over 57% in the 125cc motorcycle segment, Honda now claims every second 125cc motorcycle sold in the region.

Introducing the SP125 Sports Edition

To add more excitement to the festive season, Honda is launching the SP125 Sports Edition. This model makes a bold statement with its aggressive tank design, matte muffler cover, and enhanced graphics. The new vibrant stripes on the body panels and alloy wheels make it a complete head-turner. Available in attractive Decent Blue Metallic and Heavy Grey Metallic color shades, the SP125 Sports Edition not only looks good but also offers class-leading features, making it a valuable choice for motorcycle enthusiasts. It features a bright LED headlamp, a fully digital instrument console with gear position indicator and other mileage information. Under the hood, it boasts thrilling performance with a 123.94cc, single-cylinder BSVI OBD2 compliant PGM-FI engine, generating 8 kW of power and 10.9 Nm of torque.
