Royal Enfield Set to Revamp Iconic Bullet 350 with New J-Platform Engine

Royal Enfield enthusiasts have something exciting to look forward to as the company gears up for the launch of the new Bullet 350 in India. The iconic Bullet, which has been in production since 1931, is set to receive an update to Royal Enfield’s modern J-platform. The much smoother 349cc engine, already featured in models like Classic, Meteor, and Hunter 350, will replace the current 346cc UCE engine, marking the end of an era.

The upcoming Bullet is expected to bear striking resemblance to the current Classic 350, with minor differences such as a single-piece seat, a different tail-lamp, and the absence of the hood over the headlight. The engine is likely to generate the same power output of 20hp and torque of 27Nm, consistent with the other J-platform models, and the chassis is expected to mirror that of the Classic 350.

However, what remains to be seen is the pricing and positioning of the new Bullet. Previously, the Bullet served as the entry point to the Royal Enfield lineup, offering the most affordable price tag and basic features. With the introduction of the Hunter last year, which starts at a more affordable price of Rs 1.5 lakh, the Bullet may now be placed in a different segment. The Classic 350, priced at Rs 1.93 lakh, leaves a significant gap between the two models, and it will be interesting to see where the updated Bullet will be positioned within this gap.

The launch event is scheduled for August 30 to September 1, and it will mark the transformation of the legendary Bullet into a more modern and powerful machine. With Royal Enfield’s continuous efforts to innovate and improve their offerings, enthusiasts can expect an exciting and upgraded experience with the new Bullet 350.
