Royal Enfield Classic 650: Spotted Testing and Poised for a 2025 Launch

Royal Enfield enthusiasts have reason to rejoice as the highly anticipated Classic 650 has been spotted during testing, indicating that the launch is on the horizon. The test bike, sharing the road with the Scrambler 650, gives a sneak peek into what the Classic 650 has to offer, featuring a blend of familiar Classic styling and potential performance upgrades.

Testing and Production Readiness: The test mule of the Classic 650 seems to be in an advanced stage of development, hinting that it is nearing production readiness. Royal Enfield has been actively testing various 650cc models, and the Classic 650 is the latest addition to the lineup.

Familiar Styling with Modern Touches: Taking design cues from the iconic Classic 350, the Classic 650 maintains the signature Royal Enfield styling with a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, fork covers, and a similarly styled LED headlight. Despite the visual similarities, the Classic 650 is expected to boast larger proportions compared to its 350cc counterpart.

Powerhouse Beneath the Hood: Anticipated to be equipped with the proven 648cc, parallel-twin engine – a powerhouse already featured in models like the Interceptor 650 and Super Meteor 650 – the Classic 650 is expected to deliver 47bhp and 52Nm. While retaining the reliability of its predecessors, Royal Enfield may fine-tune the engine for a more tailored and relaxed riding experience.

Chassis and Handling: The Classic 650 is likely to ride on a modified version of Royal Enfield’s 650cc platform frame, featuring a conventional telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Wire-spoke rims with wide tires enhance the bike’s classic appeal, while dual-channel ABS ensures optimal braking performance with disc brakes at both ends.

Launch Anticipation: Enthusiasts eager to lay their hands on the Classic 650 may need to wait until 2025, as the launch is expected to take place in the coming years. The blend of classic aesthetics and modern technology makes the Classic 650 a promising addition to Royal Enfield’s impressive lineup of 650cc motorcycles.
