Riding the Electric Wave: TVS iQube Surpasses 2 Lakh Sales Mark

In the rapidly expanding realm of electric scooters in India, the TVS iQube has positioned itself as a strong competitor, challenging the dominance of popular models like the Ola Electric Scooter. With a recent milestone of surpassing 2 lakh units in sales, the TVS iQube is gaining significant traction among Indian consumers, signaling a shift towards sustainable mobility.

A Swift Rise to Prominence: Launched in January 2020, the TVS iQube has achieved an impressive feat by crossing the 2 lakh units sold mark in just three years. In the last six months alone, the company has sold 96,151 units, showcasing the rapid acceptance of the scooter in the market.

iQube Features: A Blend of Power and Innovation: Offering three variants – the standard iQube, iQube S, and the top-tier iQube ST – TVS has equipped the latter with a robust 3.4 kWh battery pack, boasting an IP67 water rating and dust protection. With a top speed of 82 km/h and a range of approximately 145 km on a single charge, the iQube series stands out for its performance and features.

Battery Costs and Warranty: Replacing the iQube battery pack can cost between INR 56,600 to INR 70,700, with a warranty of 3 years or 50,000 km. Post-warranty, battery issues could potentially lead to significant expenses for the owner.

Cost Efficiency and Range: TVS claims that covering 50,000 km on a petrol scooter could cost around INR 1 lakh, while the iQube would only cost about INR 6,466 for the same distance. This substantial difference translates to significant savings in both GST and maintenance costs, estimated at nearly INR 93,500.

Moreover, charging the iQube ST IC model costs just INR 19 per charge, offering a range of 145 km and a charging time of approximately 4 hours and 6 minutes.

Cutting-Edge Features: Beyond its performance and cost efficiency, the iQube series boasts cutting-edge features such as a 7-inch TFT touchscreen, customizable Infinity themes, voice assistant, Alexa skillset, intuitive music player control, OTA updates, fast charging, safety information, Bluetooth, cloud connectivity options, and a generous 32-liter storage capacity.
