Raptee Unveils World’s First High-Voltage Electric Bike with a Remarkable 150km Range

At the Tamil Nadu Global Investors Meet, Raptee, a Chennai-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer, revealed its groundbreaking high-voltage electric motorcycle, claiming to redefine the benchmarks in the electric vehicle market. The company aims to compete with established players like Ola, Ather, Hero, and Bajaj, marking a new era in sustainable transportation.

Design and Features:

Raptee’s electric motorcycle boasts a futuristic design with a transparent body, providing a unique glimpse into its internal mechanisms. The sporty aesthetic, coupled with a distinctive split seat, sets it apart from conventional electric bikes. Positioned at the bottom of the fuel tank, the electric motor and battery mechanism are visible through the transparent exterior, offering an innovative design approach. The charging port is conveniently located above the fuel tank, ensuring user-friendly access.

Power and Performance:

The company claims impressive performance metrics for its electric motorcycle, citing a top speed of 135 km per hour and an exceptional range of up to 150 km on a single charge. Accelerating from 0-60 km per hour in just 3.5 seconds, Raptee’s electric bike promises a thrilling riding experience. Notably, the motorcycle supports rapid charging at any CCS2 charging station, providing a range of 40 km in just 15 minutes and reaching 80% charge within 45 minutes.

Pricing and Launch:

While Raptee has showcased the prototype at the Tamil Nadu Summit, the official pricing details remain undisclosed. The company plans to launch its high-voltage electric motorcycle in April of this year, creating anticipation and excitement among eco-conscious consumers.

Raptee’s Future Plans:

In a bid to further solidify its presence in the electric vehicle market, Raptee has invested Rs 85 crores to establish a cutting-edge manufacturing facility in Chennai. With an annual production target of 1 lakh units, the factory incorporates state-of-the-art technology and a dedicated battery pack assembly line, showcasing Raptee’s commitment to sustainability and innovation.
