Okinawa Autotech, a leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has introduced an updated version of its popular electric scooter, the OKHI-90. This new model comes equipped with a battery pack that is compliant with the AIS-156 Amendment Three standards, along with a next-generation motor and enhanced technology features.
The 2023 Okhi-90 boasts several notable features that enhance its performance and user experience. It is equipped with an upgraded encoder-based motor that ensures precise positioning, improved ride quality, and easier servicing. The scooter also features a colored digital speedometer with a built-in navigation system, Bluetooth connectivity, call and notification alerts, time display, and music notifications. Furthermore, the 2023 Okhi-90 offers mobile app connectivity, enabling real-time monitoring of battery state of charge (SOC), speed, and on/off notifications.
In terms of dimensions, the Okhi-90 has a seat height of 803mm, a wheelbase of 1,520mm, and a ground clearance of 175mm. The scooter features hydraulic telescopic forks at the front for shock absorption and a double shocker with dual-tube technology at the back. It has a top speed of 90kmph and a range of 160km per charge. Safety features include a micro-charger with an auto-cut function and an Electronic-Assisted Braking System (E-ABS) with regenerative energy.
According to a press statement by Okinawa Autotech, the company has received over 10,000 bookings for the new OKHI-90 within the first month of its launch. The deliveries of the updated model, equipped with the AIS-156 Amendment Three-compliant battery pack, are scheduled to begin in September 2023.
