Nissan Magnite AMT Unleashed: Affordable Automatic SUV Hits the Roads”

Nissan India has set the stage for an exciting addition to its Magnite lineup. The eagerly anticipated Nissan Magnite AMT is now officially launched, sporting a competitive starting price of Rs 6.50 lakh (ex-showroom India). But that’s not all; early birds can lock in these introductory prices with bookings starting at just Rs 11,000, but this deal is valid only until November 10.

The Magnite AMT Advantage

The Nissan Magnite AMT brings a fresh dimension to the sub-compact SUV segment, significantly undercutting rivals like the Tata Punch and Renault Kiger AMTs while delivering a generous array of features. The AMT gearbox is now available across all Magnite trims, including XE, XL, XV, and XV Premium. The pricing varies based on the chosen trim, with the AMT costing between Rs 35,000 to Rs 50,000 more than the manual counterpart.

Detailed Pricing:

  • XE: Rs 6.50 lakh
  • XL: Rs 7.44 lakh
  • XV: Rs 8.21 lakh
  • Kuro Edition: Rs 8.67 lakh
  • XV Premium: Rs 8.90 lakh

Powering Performance

The Magnite AMT pairs seamlessly with the 1.0-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, generating 72hp and 96Nm of torque. This versatile 5-speed AMT gearbox also offers a manual mode, and it boasts an impressive ARAI-rated fuel economy of 19.70kpl. This automatic variant competes with the manual version, which achieves a commendable mileage of 19.35kpl. Furthermore, all AMT variants include Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and a hill start assist function as standard, enhancing overall safety and control.

Nissan’s Powertrain Portfolio

With the introduction of the AMT variant, the Nissan Magnite now provides a diverse powertrain selection, complementing the existing 1.0-liter turbo-petrol motor mated to a 5-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission. The Kiger, a close relative of the Magnite, has been offering the 1.0-liter petrol-AMT powertrain right from the start.

Fresh Style: Dual-Tone Blue

In conjunction with the AMT debut, Nissan introduces a striking dual-tone blue exterior paint option with a contrasting black roof, exclusively available on the higher-spec XV and XV Premium trims of the Magnite. This addition infuses a refreshing touch of style and personalization to the vehicle’s aesthetics.

Outshining the Competition

The standout feature of the Magnite AMT is its affordability. It becomes the most budget-friendly sub-4m automatic SUV in the market. It not only surpasses its sibling, the Kiger, but also outpaces the Tata Punch and Renault Kiger from the segment below. To put things in perspective, the Kiger AMT’s prices initiate at Rs 8.55 lakh for the second-from-base RXT (O) variant.

In comparison, the Punch AMT enters the arena at Rs 7.5 lakh for the second-from-base Adventure trim, while the Exter AMT takes flight from Rs 8.09 lakh for the second-from-base S trim. The Magnite, however, carves its path by offering an affordable automatic option to SUV enthusiasts, setting it apart from its rivals.
