Maruti Suzuki, the leading automaker in India, has unveiled the new Ertiga Cruise Hybrid at the Indonesia International Motor Show, marking its global debut. This latest addition to the Ertiga lineup not only boasts sportier exterior styling but also introduces a significant upgrade in the form of a larger battery pack, enhancing its mild-hybrid technology.
The standout feature of the Ertiga Hybrid is the inclusion of a substantial 10Ah battery pack, paired with Maruti Suzuki’s renowned 1.5-litre petrol engine. This hybrid system, equipped with an idle start/stop feature, not only promises improved mileage but also comes with an eight-year warranty for the battery. Despite these advancements, the power output of the Ertiga remains consistent at 103bhp and 137Nm of torque.
Visually, the Ertiga Cruise Hybrid makes a statement with a dual-tone paint scheme featuring a white body color paired with a contrasting black roof. The sporty aesthetics are further enhanced with a newly designed roof spoiler and skirtings for both the front and rear bumpers. The MPV rides on 15-inch alloy wheels and features projector headlamps accompanied by bumper-mounted LED DRLs.
Stepping inside the Ertiga, Suzuki has opted for a sleek fully black theme, complemented by a semi-digital instrument cluster and an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The attention to detail is evident with ventilated center console cup holders, cruise control, automatic climate control, and an armrest for second-row passengers.
