Maruti Suzuki eVX Electric SUV: Get Ready to Explore Its Stunning Interior at Tokyo Motor Show”

Maruti Suzuki’s venture into the electric vehicle (EV) market has garnered significant attention, particularly with the introduction of the eVX concept earlier this year in India. While the striking exterior of the eVX has already made waves, the excitement surrounding its interior has been building. The upcoming Tokyo Motor Show 2023 promises to satisfy our curiosity by unveiling the eVX’s interior for the first time.

Maruti Suzuki’s eVX marks a significant milestone as the brand’s inaugural foray into the realm of electric SUVs, a collaborative project with Toyota, which is concurrently developing its own eVX counterpart. Based on the advanced 40PL Skateboard architecture, the vehicle represents Maruti Suzuki’s commitment to producing this EV in India for both domestic and international markets. Equipped with a substantial 60kWh battery, the eVX boasts an impressive driving range of 500 kilometers, firmly establishing itself as a formidable player in the EV market.

As anticipation builds for the official unveiling of the eVX’s interior at the Tokyo Motor Show, several intriguing details have already emerged. Spy shots of the eVX’s test mule during trial runs revealed a sleek twin-screen setup, complemented by vertical AC vents and an updated flat-bottom steering wheel design. The cabin also showcases a modern floating center console housing a rotary dial. However, specific interior features and details are yet to be fully disclosed. Enthusiasts and potential buyers alike can look forward to a comprehensive exploration of the cabin when the brand showcases it later this month.

In terms of dimensions, the Maruti Suzuki eVX measures 4,300mm in length, 1,800mm in width, and 1,600mm in height, with a wheelbase spanning 2,700mm, providing ample space and stability. This positioning puts it in direct competition with the Hyundai Creta EV, slated for release in early 2025. While the exterior design of the eVX has been shrouded in secrecy with heavy camouflage, Suzuki has assured that it has undergone significant evolution since its initial concept presentation at Auto Expo 2023.

Beneath the hood, the eVX features an electric powertrain delivering an impressive 500 kilometers of range. Interestingly, the concept version boasted a 60kWh battery with a range of 550 kilometers. Maruti Suzuki is also expected to introduce an entry-level variant equipped with a slightly smaller 48kWh battery, still offering a commendable 400 kilometers of range.

Excitingly, the global launch of the eVX is scheduled for October 2024, signifying a momentous step for Maruti Suzuki into the EV sector. With its “Made-in-India” heritage, remarkable range, and stylish design, the eVX is poised to make a memorable entrance into the world of electric vehicles.
