Mahindra’s XUV300 Facelift: A Challenger with ADAS Features to Redefine the Compact SUV Game

In response to the escalating demand in the compact SUV market, Mahindra is gearing up to unveil a facelift variant of its popular XUV300. While the exact launch date is yet to be confirmed, speculations suggest that the refreshed version might make its debut in the first quarter of the upcoming financial year. The current model, despite no longer accepting new bookings, continues to be available for purchase at dealerships.

The facelifted XUV300 is expected to undergo a mid-life transformation, featuring redesigned bumpers, lights, and alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, enhancements like a new dashboard, an improved instrument cluster, and an upgraded infotainment system with additional features are anticipated. Notably, the inclusion of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) for enhanced safety could set the XUV300 apart in this competitive segment. However, the engine and transmission are likely to remain unchanged.

Competing with popular models such as the Maruti Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, and Kia Sonet in the sub-four-meter compact SUV category, the XUV300 faces stiff competition. To stay ahead, companies are continuously refining and updating their offerings.

While Mahindra has not officially announced the pricing details for the facelift variant, industry insiders anticipate an increase ranging from 50 to 70 thousand rupees compared to the current model. The existing XUV300, with an ex-showroom price starting from Rs 7.99 lakh, reaches up to Rs 14.75 lakh for the top variant.

In shorts, Mahindra’s move to introduce a facelift variant of the XUV300 reflects the brand’s commitment to meeting the evolving demands of the compact SUV market. The upcoming version promises an upgraded exterior and interior, coupled with the introduction of ADAS features, while maintaining the existing engine and transmission options. As the XUV300 steps into a revamped future, it remains to be seen how it will fare against formidable competition in the sub-four-meter compact SUV segment. Official pricing details for the facelift variant are yet to be confirmed by the company.
