Mahindra XUV700 Waiting Period Drops Below 2 Months Across Variants

Mahindra’s popular SUV, the XUV700, has been experiencing a reduction in waiting periods across all variants, with the mid-level AX5 trim now holding the longest wait time. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the current waiting periods for each variant:

Variant-Wise Waiting Period:

  • MX and AX3 variants: 1 month
  • AX5 variant: 1.5 months
  • AX7 and AX7L variants: 1-1.5 months

The entry-level MX and AX3 variants boast the shortest waiting period of around one month, while the top-tier AX7 and AX7L models require a wait time ranging from 1 to 1.5 months. Notably, variants equipped with ESP do not have a specified waiting period.

Powertrains:

  • The XUV700 offers versatility with both petrol and diesel powertrains.
  • It features a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine generating 200hp and 380Nm of torque, alongside a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine available in two states of tune.
  • The diesel engine options include 155hp/360Nm in entry-level variants and 185hp/420Nm (450Nm with AT) in higher-spec variants.
  • Both engines come with a choice of a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox, with the diesel variant also offering an all-wheel-drive option.

Price and Competitors:

  • Priced between Rs 13.99 lakh to Rs 26.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the Mahindra XUV700 competes directly with rivals such as the Tata Harrier, Safari, MG Hector, Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar, and the Jeep Compass.

The XUV700’s popularity and versatile features have contributed to its sustained demand in the Indian market. With waiting periods now under two months for all variants, prospective buyers can anticipate quicker delivery times, making the XUV700 a more accessible option in the competitive SUV segment.
