Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s Exclusive Jawa 42 Bobber: A Glimpse into the Customized Marvel

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the cricketing legend, and former captain of the Indian cricket team, is not only celebrated for his on-field prowess but also for his love for motorcycles and cars. Recently, he received a fully custom-made Jawa 42 bobber, adding another gem to his impressive vehicle collection. New pictures of Dhoni’s custom Jawa have surfaced, providing a closer look at the intricate details of this special edition bike.

The snapshots of this personalized Jawa 42 bobber were shared on Instagram by Bombay Custom Works, the creators behind this masterpiece. The images showcase Dhoni seated on the bike, highlighting the distinctive features added by the skilled craftsmen. Among these features is a unique plaque with the bike’s name, “Skipper,” commemorating its creation in 2023 by Bombay Custom Works.

Unique Touches on This Bike

Bombay Custom Works has bestowed Dhoni’s Jawa 42 Bobber with a sophisticated dark green hue, adorned with metallic flakes for a striking effect. The bike boasts custom gold pinstriping along the fenders, fuel tank, and air filter covers. A standout element is the gold-painted depiction of MS Dhoni’s iconic 2011 World Cup-winning six-shot on the air filter cover, accompanied by a “Custom Made” badge.

In terms of fabrication changes, both front and rear fenders have been shortened compared to the stock Jawa 42 bobber. The rear fenders feature a gold-painted number 7, representing Dhoni’s jersey number, integrated into the brake light assembly. A custom leather seat, complemented by a golden metal garnish beneath the custom yellow headlights, adds to the bike’s aesthetic appeal.

Dhoni’s Gifted Masterpiece

Contrary to initial speculations, it’s revealed that Dhoni’s custom Jawa 42 bobber was a gift from the Skipper PVC Pipes company and its owners. The thoughtful gesture is reflected not only in the bike’s name but also in the detailed customization that pays homage to Dhoni’s illustrious cricketing career.

Exploring the Jawa 42 Bobber

The Jawa 42 Bobber, a popular model from the brand, is powered by a 334 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. With 29.5 bhp maximum power and 32.74 Nm peak torque, this bike offers a thrilling riding experience. Equipped with a 6-speed gearbox, 35 mm telescopic front forks, and a gas-filled monoshock at the rear, the Jawa 42 Bobber ensures a smooth and controlled ride. It features a 280 mm front single disc, a 240 mm rear disc, and dual-channel ABS as standard for enhanced braking performance. The retro-spoke wheels contribute to the bike’s classic appeal.

Dhoni’s Love for Bikes

Beyond cricket, Dhoni is renowned for his extensive collection of motorcycles and cars. A dedicated garage at his Ranchi mansion houses vintage and modern treasures, including two-stroke motorcycles from Yamaha, Yezdi, Jawa, BSA, and Norton.

His collection spans limited-edition two-stroke motorcycles from BMW, as well as iconic bikes like the Yamaha RD350 and Royal Enfield Bullet. Notable additions include the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R, Kawasaki Ninja H2, Harley Davidson Fat Boy, Ducati 1098, and the exclusive Confederate X132 Hellcat.
