Luxury on Wheels: India Welcomes Its First Ferrari Purosangue SUV in Style

In a momentous event for automotive enthusiasts in India, the first-ever Ferrari Purosangue luxury performance SUV has found its home in Bengaluru. The sleek and powerful SUV, marking Ferrari’s venture into the SUV market, arrives on Indian shores just months after its global debut in 2022.

Italian Elegance in Bengaluru

The initial delivery of the Ferrari Purosangue in India took place in Bengaluru, where the proud owner received the luxury SUV finished in the striking Nero Daytona black shade. The SUV’s exterior boasts blacked-out wheels with a carbon center cap, while the interior features an Iroko finish, providing a captivating contrast. The signature red brake calipers add a touch of flair to the already impressive vehicle.

Breaking Stereotypes: Not Just an SUV

While Ferrari avoids labeling the Purosangue as an SUV, it defies traditional categorization, embodying a sportscar aesthetic on raised stilts. The design showcases Ferrari’s iconic elements, including a long bonnet, coupe roofline, and short overhangs. The 180 mm ground clearance sets it apart, and the inclusion of rear doors with rear-hinged access adds a practical touch, facilitating entry to the individual rear seats.

Power and Performance

Under the hood, the Ferrari Purosangue houses a formidable 6.5-liter, 65-degree, naturally-aspirated V12 engine. Generating 715 bhp at 7,750 rpm and 716 Nm of peak torque at 6,250 rpm, the Purosangue boasts a 2-speed power transmission unit and an 8-speed DCT rear-set dual-clutch transmission, distributing power to all four wheels. The SUV’s impressive performance stats include a 0-100 kmph sprint in 3.3 seconds and a top speed exceeding 310 kmph.

Competition and Pricing

Although the official pricing is yet to be disclosed, initial reports suggest a starting price of ₹6 crore (ex-showroom) before customization options. The Ferrari Purosangue is set to compete in the high-performance SUV segment, challenging rivals like the Bentley Bentayga, Aston Martin DBX, Maserati Levante Trofeo, and Lamborghini Urus Performante.

As the first Purosangue graces Indian roads, it sets the stage for more of these Italian marvels to make their presence felt in the country in the coming months, offering a blend of luxury, performance, and distinctive style.
