TORK Motors, a prominent Indian electric motorcycle manufacturer, is making significant strides in the electric vehicle industry with the introduction of an innovative feature for its flagship model, the ‘KRATOS R.’ The new ECO+ mode is designed to extend the electric motorcycle’s range during urban rides, allowing ECO+ riders to extract over 150 kilometers from a single charge, moving closer to the advertised range of 180 kilometers per charge.
This latest addition augments the existing trio of riding modes available for the KRATOS R, including ECO, CITY, and SPORT, thus enhancing the versatility of this electric wonder. ECO+ mode, with a top speed capped at 35 km/h, is particularly well-suited for navigating congested urban environments where efficiency and extended range are of paramount importance.
Kapil Shelke, the Founder & CEO of TORK Motors, highlighted that the development of the ECO+ mode was a direct response to customer feedback, catering to the need for extended range in specific riding scenarios, while ensuring the option for higher performance when required.
Every new KRATOS R will now come equipped with these four dynamic riding modes, adding a reverse mode for added convenience during parking maneuvers. The heart of the KRATOS R’s performance lies in its 9kW ‘Axial Flux’ motor, delivering a peak torque of 38 Nm and an impressive efficiency rating of 96%. Paired with a 4.0 kWh Li-ion battery pack, this powertrain empowers the motorcycle with the remarkable 180-kilometer range.
