In a move towards sustainable mobility, Kinetic Green has officially launched the E Luna electric moped in India at an introductory price of Rs 69,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This comes after the recent appearance of the electric moped on various e-commerce platforms, creating anticipation among eco-conscious commuters.
Weighing in at 96kg and Ready to Roll:
The Kinetic E Luna features a simple yet utilitarian design, deviating from the traditional Luna’s signature pedals. The rear seat, designed for versatility, can be detached to provide additional storage space. With a lightweight of just 96kg and a comfortable 760mm seat height, the E Luna promises an effortless and user-friendly riding experience, even when carrying substantial loads. Kinetic claims an impressive load-carrying capacity of up to 150kg.
Efficient Battery and Range:
The electric moped is powered by a 2kWh battery, delivering a claimed range of 110km on a full charge. The battery takes approximately 4 hours to charge fully, and an included portable charger adds convenience for users. Kinetic Green plans to introduce two more variants with battery capacities of 1.7 kWh and 3.0 kWh, the latter boasting a claimed range of 150km.
Ride Comfort and Safety:
Equipped with a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers, the tubular frame provides stability and comfort during rides. The E Luna features drum brakes at both ends and rides on spoked 16-inch wheels fitted with tube-type TVS Eurogrip tires. The hub-mounted motor, with a peak output of 2.2kW and 22Nm, propels the moped to a claimed top speed of 50kph.
Despite its minimalist approach, the E Luna incorporates essential modern features such as a digital dashboard, three riding modes, a USB charging port, and a side stand cut-off. The electric moped is available in five vibrant colors – red, blue, yellow, green, and black.
Booking Information and Availability:
Interested buyers can book the Kinetic E Luna by paying a token amount of Rs 500. While the company has promised deliveries to commence ‘soon’ across all dealerships, an exact timeline hasn’t been specified. Additionally, the E Luna is available for purchase on popular e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Flipkart, providing customers with convenient online options.
