Kia is set to revamp the Sonet, and the first undisguised images of the forthcoming facelift are generating a buzz. Scheduled to hit the Indian market in the next 3-4 months, this refresh showcases an updated exterior and hints at some exciting interior and powertrain changes.
The Kia Sonet has been a game-changer since its launch in September 2020, and it’s now due for its first mid-lifecycle update. While the core mechanical aspects may remain unchanged, the facelift focuses on refreshing the exterior design, minor cosmetic tweaks, and some exciting new features.

The Sonet facelift is likely to continue offering its existing powertrain options, including the 1.2-liter petrol engine with 83hp, the 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine with 120hp, and the 1.5-liter diesel engine with 116hp. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual for the petrol engine, a 6-speed iMT for the turbo-petrol and diesel variants, and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and 6-speed automatic for select models.
