Kia Seltos Facelift Launched with 18 Variants Starting from Rs. 10.89 Lakhs

Kia Motors has officially launched the facelifted version of its popular SUV, the Kia Seltos, in India. The Seltos facelift arrives with a starting price of Rs. 10.89 lakhs (ex-showroom, introductory) and has garnered significant attention, recording 13,424 bookings on its first day of launch. The latest model comes in 18 variants, offering buyers multiple options to choose from.

The revamped Kia Seltos showcases new styling elements, featuring updated headlights, bumper, grille, tail lights, and alloy wheels. It boasts a palette of seven captivating color choices, including Pewter Olive, Imperial Blue, Intense Red, Glacier White Pearl, Gravity Grey, Aurora Black Pearl, and Sparkling Silver. Additionally, two dual-tone color options add to the personalization choices.

Stepping inside the cabin, Kia has introduced some notable changes. The highlight is the Dual Screen Panoramic Display, housing a 10.23-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.23-inch all-digital high-resolution instrument cluster. For added luxury and convenience, the facelifted Seltos now features a new panoramic sunroof, replacing the smaller sunroof of the pre-facelift model. Other interior upgrades include dual-zone automatic climate control and an electronic parking brake.

Kia has ensured a comprehensive safety package, equipping the Seltos facelift with 15 safety features as standard across all variants. These safety technologies encompass 6 airbags, HAC (Hill-Start Assist Control), ESC (Electronic Stability Control), and VSM (Vehicle Stability Management).

The GT-Line and X-Line trims take safety to the next level by incorporating Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) with 17 autonomous features. Utilizing 1 camera and 3 radars, these trims offer features like Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Keep Assist, and Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go.

Under the hood, customers have the choice of three engine options. The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine remains available, generating 115 HP and 144 Nm of torque. This engine can be paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or an IVT automatic transmission.

The 1.5-litre diesel engine is also part of the lineup, producing 116 HP and 250 Nm of torque. It is offered with two transmission choices: a 6-speed iMT and a 6-speed automatic, while the manual option is not available for this engine.

The significant change comes in the replacement of the previous 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine with a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol unit. This new engine delivers an impressive 160 HP and 253 Nm of torque, with the option of a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission.

The Kia Seltos facelift now competes in the Indian market against a wide range of SUVs, including the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor, and the upcoming Honda Elevate.

With its refreshed design, enhanced features, and multiple engine options, the Kia Seltos facelift is poised to continue its success story in the Indian automotive market.
