Kia Launches 5 Diesel Variants of Seltos Facelift with Advanced Features and Impressive Mileage

Kia India has raised the bar in the compact SUV segment with the launch of five new diesel variants in the Tech Line grade of the Seltos facelift. The introduction of HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, and HTX+ trims promises not only a diverse range but also a blend of performance and fuel efficiency.

Diesel Power and Mileage

All five new variants come equipped with a diesel engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. Kia proudly claims an impressive certified mileage of 20.7kmpl, setting a new benchmark for fuel efficiency in its class.

Pricing and Booking Information

The starting price for the diesel manual variants of the Seltos is Rs 12 lakh, reaching up to Rs 18.28 lakh for the top-spec trim. Bookings have already commenced, with deliveries scheduled to begin next month. Buyers can reserve their Seltos online via the official website or at Kia dealerships with a token amount of Rs 25,000.

Competition and Color Palette

In the fiercely competitive compact SUV market, the Seltos locks horns with notable rivals like the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, Honda Elevate, MG Astor, and Citroen C3 Aircross. Offering a spectrum of personalization, the Seltos provides seven single-tone and two dual-tone color options for buyers to choose from.

Features, Engines, and Safety

The Seltos facelift introduces a host of new features, including a panoramic sunroof with voice control, Advanced Driver Assistance System Level Two (ADAS-2), and over 32 safety features. Engine options include a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder turbo GDI petrol engine, a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder normal petrol engine, and a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder CRDi VGT diesel engine. The SUV also offers 17 autonomous level-2 advanced features, enhancing safety with technologies like Smart Cruise Control, Front Collision Warning, Lane Keep Assist, and Rear Blind Spot Collision Avoidance.

Exterior Redesign

The Seltos facelift showcases an updated exterior design with redesigned LED headlamps, turn indicators, integrated DRLs, connected tail-lamps, and dual exhausts. The top-spec variant elevates the experience with an electrically-powered tailgate.
