Kawasaki Eliminator: A Bold Challenger Roars into the Budget Cruiser Arena

In a move that promises to reshape the landscape of budget cruisers, Kawasaki has unveiled its formidable cruiser motorcycle, the “Eliminator,” in the Indian market in 2024. With a price tag of Rs 5.62 lakh (ex-showroom), this two-wheeled powerhouse is gearing up to go head-to-head with the popular Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, offering riders a robust design, potent engine, and a host of features.

Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650: The Main Rival

The Eliminator’s primary competitor, the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, boasts a showroom price starting at Rs 3.54 lakh. While the Eliminator sits at a slightly higher price point, it promises an added layer of value for enthusiasts exploring sub-500cc bikes. With deliveries set to commence shortly, the battle between these two cruisers is set to unfold on Indian roads.

Kawasaki Eliminator Design: A Blend of Power and Ruggedness

The design of the Kawasaki Eliminator encapsulates the essence of a conservative yet robust power cruiser. Weighing in at 176 kg, it features distinctive elements such as LED lights, an LCD instrument panel, Bluetooth connectivity, an 18-inch front wheel, a 16-inch rear wheel, and responsive braking with 310 mm front and 240 mm rear disc brakes. The inclusion of dual-channel ABS further positions it as an enticing option in the 450 cc cruiser segment.

Engine and Performance: Unleashing Power on the Roads

Under the hood, the Eliminator packs a punch with its 451 cc engine, drawing inspiration from the Kawasaki Ninja 400. It delivers an impressive 45.4 PS of power at 9000 rpm and 42.6 Newton-meter of torque at 6000 rpm. The bike is equipped with a 6-speed gearbox, telescopic front suspension, and dual monoshock rear suspension, ensuring a thrilling riding experience.

As the Eliminator makes its mark on the Indian cruiser scene, the battle lines are drawn, and enthusiasts can anticipate an exhilarating clash between Kawasaki’s newcomer and Royal Enfield’s Super Meteor.
