Hyundai Venue: A Rising Star in India’s Compact SUV Market with Impressive 26 KMPL Mileage

Compact SUVs have become the preferred choice for Indian consumers, offering a blend of space, performance, and maneuverability, especially in urban environments. While several brands like Tata, Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, and Kia have been dominant players in this segment, one car has silently but steadily gained popularity since its debut three years ago.

The Surge of Hyundai Venue

The Hyundai Venue, available in both petrol and diesel variants, has witnessed a surge in demand, particularly in urban regions. Its compact yet boxy design, an array of impressive features, and exceptional mileage have contributed to its rapid growth in sales.

The demand for the Venue has resulted in extended waiting periods, reminiscent of a new car launch. Notably, while many automakers offer CNG options for their vehicles, Hyundai continues to offer the Venue exclusively with petrol and diesel engine choices.

Hyundai Venue’s Engine, Mileage, and Gearbox

Hyundai has recently expanded the Venue’s engine lineup by introducing a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated engine alongside the existing 1.0-liter turbocharged and 1.5-liter diesel powerplants.

The Venue delivers a remarkable mileage of 20 to 22 kilometers per liter on petrol and an impressive 26 kilometers per liter on diesel. Buyers can opt for either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG gearbox, providing a range of choices to suit their preferences.

Features and Pricing of Hyundai Venue

The Hyundai Venue comes loaded with features typically associated with high-end SUVs. It boasts an advanced infotainment system, six airbags for enhanced safety, steering-mounted controls, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, child locks, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), Climate Control AC, rear seat recliners, and an armrest.

In terms of pricing, the Venue offers a competitive starting point at Rs 7.77 lakh ex-showroom, with the top-tier variant priced at Rs 13.48 lakh ex-showroom. It squarely competes with other popular compact SUVs in the Indian market, including the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, and Maruti Suzuki Phoenix.

In summary, the Hyundai Venue has carved a niche for itself in India’s fiercely competitive compact SUV segment. With an array of engine choices, exceptional mileage, and a feature-packed interior, it continues to attract the attention of consumers seeking both style and substance in their urban rides.
