“Race-Ready Ioniq 5 N eN1 Cup Car Based on High-Performance Electric Model”

Hyundai Motor Company has taken the wraps off its latest creation, the Ioniq 5 N eN1 Cup car, ahead of the Hyundai N Festival motorsports event. Derived from the production-spec Ioniq 5 N, this race-ready vehicle utilizes the same cutting-edge electronics (PE) system and is set to compete in the N1 class.

Race-Ready Design:

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N eN1 Cup car features a redesigned body kit optimized for performance on the track. Sporting low and wide-style over-fenders, along with wider wheel trajectories, it promises enhanced handling capabilities. Front and rear lips, as well as rear wings, have been added to increase downforce and aerodynamic efficiency. Additionally, the car has been lightened by shedding unnecessary components and incorporating forged wheels, an FRP hood, and polycarbonate windows.

Safety and Performance:

Ensuring driver safety, the Ioniq 5 N eN1 Cup car comes equipped with essential safety features such as a roll cage, racing bucket seats, and seat belts. Specific safety measures cater to electric vehicles, including fire extinguishers designed for electric fires and modified charge port locations. These features underscore Hyundai’s commitment to both performance and safety in motorsports.

High-Performance Electric Platform:

Based on Hyundai’s Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the production-spec Ioniq 5 N serves as the foundation for this dynamic racing machine. With a staggering output of 641 bhp, the Ioniq 5 N boasts robust battery thermal management and regenerative braking systems, offering a thrilling driving experience both on and off the track.
