Hyundai Unveils Electrifying Hyundai Ioniq 5 N with 650 PS Powerhouse Performance

Hyundai has unveiled the highly anticipated Hyundai Ioniq 5 N, marking the brand’s first foray into all-electric N performance cars. The debut of this performance-oriented model took place at the prestigious Goodwood Festival Of Speed, where it garnered significant attention from automotive enthusiasts. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N showcases a range of updates, both in terms of its exterior and interior design, as well as its high-performing electric powertrain and mechanical features.

To give the Ioniq 5 N a sporty and aggressive appearance, Hyundai has incorporated several performance-enhancing details. These include contrasting black trim parts, a wing-type rear spoiler, an N Mask graphic fascia with functional mesh, air curtains, air flaps, and a lip spoiler. The car boasts a lowered stance of 20 mm, increased width by 50 mm at the bottom to accommodate wider tires, and extended length by 80 mm due to a more prominent diffuser. The Ioniq 5 N also features forged 21-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in 275/35R21 Pirelli P-Zero tires, further enhancing its athletic appeal.

Stepping inside the car, the interior of the Ioniq 5 N showcases various N-branded elements, including the steering wheel, seats, door scuff panels, and metal pedals. Notably, the newly designed N steering wheel proudly displays the N logo for the first time. The driving modes can be customized and assigned to each button in a variety of combinations, providing a personalized driving experience for enthusiasts. The car also features the N Grin Boost button conveniently positioned at 3 o’clock on the steering wheel, allowing instant and intuitive access to maximize acceleration. Paddles are positioned at the driver’s fingertips, enabling engagement with N e-shift and N Pedal features.

The N seats in the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N offer reinforced bolsters and are positioned about 20 mm lower compared to the basic specification, ensuring optimal comfort and support during spirited driving.

Now, let’s delve into the specifications of this high-performance electric vehicle. The front motor generates 226 PS of power, while the rear motor produces an impressive 383 PS, resulting in a combined power output of 609 PS. With the Boost output engaged, the Ioniq 5 N accelerates from 0 to 100 km/hr in just 3.4 seconds and achieves a top speed of 260 km/hr.

The car features an 84 kWh battery capacity and supports a charge speed of 350 kW. Charging from 10% to 80% can be accomplished in a mere 18 minutes, showcasing Hyundai’s commitment to fast and convenient charging solutions. While the exact driving range on a full charge has not yet been announced by the automaker, it is expected to offer a substantial distance to meet the needs of daily driving and beyond.
