Hyundai Unveils Bold Creta Facelift with Star Power; Pre-bookings Open Ahead of January 16 Launch

Hyundai Motor India Ltd. has officially opened pre-bookings for the much-anticipated Creta facelift, set to launch on January 16. The company released teaser images featuring Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, showcasing a revamped design that includes a striking grille with Exter-like LED daytime running lights and vertically-stacked headlamps. The Creta, a consistent best-seller since its India launch in 2015, aims to maintain its segment leadership with this facelift.

Customers can secure their booking by placing an initial amount of ₹25,000 at any Hyundai dealership across India or through the company’s official website. Existing Creta booking holders have the option to convert their reservation to the new model.

The interior of the Creta facelift brings a notable departure from the existing design, featuring an all-new dashboard with dual screens forming a unified unit, sleek air-conditioning vents, a touch-based climate control module, a slimmer center console, and a 4-spoke steering wheel.

Tarun Garg, COO of Hyundai Motor India Ltd., highlighted the Creta’s enduring success, stating, ‘Despite the intensifying competition, Creta has maintained its unrivaled segment leadership, becoming the highest-selling mid-size SUV with over 9.5 lakh delighted customers enjoying the SUV life…’

The facelift is expected to offer the same powertrain options as the updated Kia Seltos, with 1.5l Kappa Turbo GDi Petrol, 1.5l MPi Petrol, and 1.5l U2 CRDi Diesel engine choices. Transmission options include a 6-speed Manual, IVT, 7-speed DCT, and 6-speed Automatic.

Safety features and advanced technologies are expected to be a highlight, with the Creta facelift available in 7 variants and offering 6 mono-tone color options and 1 dual-tone option.
