Hyundai Creta Regains Lead in Midsize SUV Segment, Mahindra Scorpio Slips to Second Place

In a notable development in the Indian automotive market, Hyundai Creta has once again asserted its dominance in the midsize SUV segment, reclaiming the top spot in February 2024 sales. However, Mahindra Scorpio, a long-standing favorite in the segment, has seen a decline, signaling a shift in consumer preferences.

Hyundai Creta emerged as the best-selling midsize SUV for the month, with an impressive sales figure of 15,276 units, marking a substantial 47 percent annual increase. On the other hand, Mahindra Scorpio slipped to the second position, selling 15,071 units, albeit with a noteworthy 117 percent annual growth.

The competition in the midsize SUV segment remains fierce, with Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara securing the third position by selling 11,002 units, reflecting a commendable 20 percent annual increase. Mahindra XUV700 and Kia Seltos also secured positions in the top 5, with other notable contenders rounding off the top 10.
