Hyundai Creta Achieves Landmark 10 Lakh Unit Sales in India, Securing its SUV Legacy

In a significant achievement, Hyundai Motor India proudly announces that its popular five-seater SUV, the Creta, has crossed the 10 lakh unit sales milestone in the Indian market. This noteworthy feat has been accomplished over eight years since the Creta’s initial launch in 2015, firmly establishing it as one of the leading mid-size SUVs in the country. Beyond its success in the domestic market, the automaker has also exported over 2.80 lakh units of the Creta to international destinations.

The Hyundai Creta, often considered a direct competitor to the Kia Seltos, is currently available in seven variants, featuring both petrol and diesel powertrain options. With prices ranging from Rs. 11 lakh to Rs. 20.15 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom), the Creta competes with other formidable players in the segment, including the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Honda Elevate, Skoda Kushaq, and the Volkswagen Taigun.

Tarun Garg, Chief Operating Officer, Hyundai Motor India Ltd., expressed his thoughts on this milestone, stating, “Hyundai Creta has been a brand that has captured the hearts of Indian customers and made India ‘Live the SUV life.’ With over one million Creta on Indian roads, the ‘Creta’ brand has reaffirmed its legacy of being the undisputed SUV.” Garg also highlighted the success of the recently launched Creta facelift, which has received an overwhelming customer response, amassing over 60,000 bookings since its announcement.

Garg further added, “We are extremely grateful for the love and trust our customers have shown for Creta. As frontrunners in the introduction of revolutionary technologies, we shall continue to establish new milestones and redefine benchmarks across segments in the industry.”

The Hyundai Creta’s journey to the 10 lakh unit sales milestone speaks volumes about the SUV’s wide acceptance and popularity among Indian consumers. Hyundai’s commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction is reflected in the Creta’s enduring success, making it a symbol of excellence in the mid-size SUV segment.
