GPX Unveils Exclusive GTM250R Limited Edition Motorcycle in Japan

Thailand-based auto manufacturer GPX has introduced the GTM250R motorcycle in Japan, presenting enthusiasts with a limited-edition model that boasts a unique blend of retro design and contemporary engineering. With only 150 units set to be produced, the GTM250R follows in the footsteps of the GPX Gentleman Racer 200, showcasing the brand’s commitment to crafting distinctive and sought-after motorcycles.

GPX, established in 2007, has made a name for itself by creating retro-inspired models marketed under different brand names across various Asian countries. The GTM250R continues this legacy with a neo-retro cafe-racer aesthetic, characterized by a bubble fairing featuring a circular LED headlamp. The muscular fuel tank design, coupled with pads-like covers, adds to the bike’s distinctive appearance. The single-piece seat, along with a black pillion seat cowl, contributes to a streamlined look, complemented by vibrant paint schemes in red, black, and yellow.

In terms of performance, the GTM250R boasts an inverted fork at the front and a rear monoshock with preload adjustability for suspension duties. The motorcycle relies on dual radially mounted discs at the front and a single disc at the rear for speed control. It maintains stability on 17-inch wire-spoke wheels, marrying the retro appearance with modern engineering elements.

Powering the GTM250R is a 250cc, fuel-injected, single-cylinder engine delivering 20.4 bhp. The motorcycle weighs 148 kg and comes with a price tag of 566,500 yen, approximately Rs 3.32 lakh (ex-showroom). Alongside the GTM250R, GPX offers a range of models such as Demon GR200R Dacrosa 2, Legend 250 Twin 3, Popz 110, and Legend 150 FI.
