EXCLUSIVE – Ultraviolette X44, Next Electric Bike In Their Pipeline

Ultraviolette Automotive, the Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer based in Bengaluru, has recently trademarked a new name – X44. While concrete details about the bike are yet to be revealed, it is speculated to be their next electric bike in the pipeline following the successful introduction of the F77.

At present, the information available is limited to the name of the upcoming electric motorcycle, leaving enthusiasts eager to learn more about its specific category and features.

The name Ultraviolette X44 hints at the possibility of an adventure-oriented motorcycle derived from the F77’s core platform. If this turns out to be the case, we can anticipate a tall and imposing motorcycle with upright ergonomics, spoked wheels, increased ground clearance, modified suspension for various terrains, possibly a slightly lower power output, an extended range, and revised power delivery settings suitable for off-road usage.

Alternatively, the Ultraviolette X44 might be designed as a new urban naked motorcycle, catering to the needs of city riders with a more affordable package. This version could come equipped with a smaller battery offering a reduced range and power delivery, ideal for urban commuting.

The exact details about this mysterious electric bike will likely emerge once it hits the roads for testing. Ultraviolette may choose to apply the same futuristic design language seen in the F77 to style the Ultraviolette X44, further solidifying its position as a modern and technologically advanced electric motorcycle.

Currently, the Ultraviolette F77 is available in three variants – Standard, Recon, and Limited (already sold out). The Standard variant offers 36.2 HP and 85 Nm of torque, achieving 0-100 km/hr in 8.3 seconds and a top speed of 140 km/hr, with a range of 206 km on a full charge. The Recon variant provides 38.8 HP and 95 Nm of torque, reaching 0-100 km/hr in 8 seconds and a top speed of 147 km/hr, with a range of 307 km on a full charge. Lastly, the Limited variant offers 40.5 HP and 100 Nm of torque, accelerating 0-100 km/hr in 7.8 seconds and reaching a top speed of 152 km/hr, with a range of 307 km on a full charge.

Ultraviolette Automotive has already begun the phased rollout of the F77. Phase 1 was initiated in Bengaluru, followed by Phase 2 in Chennai, Mumbai, Pune, and Cochin. The bike is set to be available in Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Delhi, and Lucknow from Q3, 2023. By Q4, 2023, the F77 will be introduced in Gurugram, Jaipur, Kolkata, Guwahati, and Ludhiana. Additionally, Ultraviolette has ambitious plans to expand its reach beyond Indian borders, with plans to launch the F77 in international markets, including Europe, North America, South America, Japan, and Southeast Asia. The manufacturer’s commitment to innovation and sustainable mobility solutions is likely to pave the way for a promising future in the electric two-wheeler industry.
